What is a BOS component?
There is not a lot to mention about a balance of system or BOS component; but, it is still a critical mention to reduce any potential surprises for a new solar installation query. BOS components are necessary to connect your solar energy system to your electrical panel and meter! These are the wires that allow the DC energy to pass through your sister to convert into AC energy.
For your system to function correctly, BOS components must be included in your solar energy system.
What is included in BOS?
Wiring
Switches
Mounting systems
Junction boxes
Metering system
Power conditioners
Sensors
Also, all the inverters, battery banks, and equipment that we mentioned before! Other optional components in a solar balance of system include:
Maximum power point tracking, MPPT
GPS solar trackers
Energy management software.
Solar concentrators.
Solar radiation sensors.
Wind equipment.
Any additional equipment that may be installed

What do BOS Components cost?
The costs for your BOS components will vary depending on the size and complexity of your installation.. If you decide to add smart systems to your home, or if your home is quite large, the number of components your system may need will be determined by one of Kite Electric’s certified installers.
Whichever BOS components necessary for installation with your solar energy system, Kite Electric uses the highest quality of innovative inverters available to them. Our manufacturers include Midnight Solar, Outback Solar, and Magnum Energy. Here at Kite, we believe in ensuring our customers receive the highest quality in innovative material and want your investment to last for years to come!
